The little gazebo that could…..Oct. 15, 2015

It is great to have the right equipment and the right people on hand for the task to be done.

Landscaping asked if it would be possible to move the gazebo in the front of the building down to the landscaping shop for repairs and renovations. After investigation, we determined that the gazebo was in pretty good shape and that a little TLC would be enough to make it look spiffy and new…..now the question was: how to get it there?

No biggie!  Some willing and happy students helped us get it off the grass with simple muscle power and good will:

They inserted a couple of aluma-spans into the handrails, put in a little muscle grease and, presto! Up she goes and pretty much floats out to the edge of the parking lot.

Once at the edge of the pavement, it was easy to insert the forks of the lift and take it on a trip.

And away we go!

And down the lane to the landscaping shop…

Now it will be easy to lift, repair and remediate the little gazebo…it need a new roof, new floor and new joist structure.  All that is easy …..next year, the little gazebo will travel back to its home!

Thanks to all the willing hands, strong backs and happy participants!
