Last sketch up drawings for the module on the blog…..Image

The valley must be:

-installed cleanly into the planes created by the sheathing – no bulges, gaps underneath or not crooked into the valley

-cut at the fascia so that there are no sharp edges and so that a little “chute” is created to facilitate water removal from the roof

-installed so that it overhangs the drip edge by a small amount – 1/8 – 1/4″ max

-have no nails closer than the edges of the valley

The shingles must be installed as demonstrated in class – there are too many variables and details to discuss here so if you have questions, ask them here or in class or pay close attention to the demonstration that will occur in the next few days and ask your questions there…..

The demo will review all aspects of the final exam and highlight the elements that you will be evaluated on.  What’s the good word?  Friday!!!
